What is the difference between black castor oil and plain

I am the biggest fan of castor oil and it has blessed my hair in so many ways.

Here i am thinking about Jamaican black castor oil. What is that? Does a different colour mean anything? Is it better or worse than the plain one i am currently using?

So first, I’m thinking about what makes it have a different colour. In the simplest form, the dark colour is due it being roasted and the colour itself is ash.

The question remains, is this a better quality and will it produce better results?

Let me throw some oil facts. ‘Cold-pressed’ means good. why? because the oil is in its natural state. Cold-pressed oils will produce a yellow colour.

Normal plain castor oil is yellow because it is cold processed whereas black castor oil is dark because it’s roasted. To be more specific, the beans are ground and boiled to extract the oil.

Does roasting or cold-pressed produce better results for hair type? The answer is unknown, but what i can say is ALL hair is different, even the strands on your head are different. So many people swear by coconut oil, they say it changes their hair growth game, but for me, it is the worst oil i have ever put on my head. my hair was screaming from dehydration and was falling out.

I am one of those that will swear by plain castor oil, but so many people will say it is too thick and they can’t style their hair with it. Others will have the same opinion about Jamaican black castor.

Let me know what oil works best for you in the comments…
