I climbed a hill today. I think it’s quite unfair that they aren’t called mountains because they certainly are as big as mountains! Walking up the hill took about an hour due to my constant moaning. The other 3 were way fitter than i was so I was holding them back. We went all the way to the top and it was glorious. the view was incredible. i don’t view myself as a nature lover but the view was just so calming and inspirational. i could have stayed all day. when the view is so captivating that it really just makes lifes worries so little. Eventually, we had to walk back down.
We spent our last day exploring the town and purchasing our or at least my souvenirs then travelling through the town in a canal boat. Some were sleepy and I was in utter shock when I found out, it was 2 hours long! The weather didn’t help our view at all as it was pouring down heavily with rain. I thought it was delightful still as we got to chill and enjoy each other’s company.
We then went on a search for dinner only to find out that most of the restaurants were not open until much later in the evening. In the end, we dined at Morrison’s. It was surprisingly delightful.
Visiting the Jehovah’s Witness congregation near us. My group had a wonderful evening meeting with them. They were all so lovely to us and we really enjoyed participating in their meeting. The wales congregation are less privileged than we are in Welwyn as they don’t have a Kingdom Hall to themselves, as they have to hire a space from a nearby primary school .
Leaving wales was incredibly sad as i had enjoyed the week with 9 incredible people, the terrible and the wonderful pun filled people. The incredible breakfasts and dinners we prepared, the games and the general awesome uplifting chats we had. As the picture shows my hilarious dancing as i had spent most of the week. There are about 3 videos of me dancing and the group chat go changed from wales 2018 to Osi dancing and stuff haha. I do love to dance!
I would most definitely recommend wales for a stunningly low budget holiday.

Yeah, judging from the background of that first picture… it looks like you climbed a mountain lol. Wales looks cool, great pictures.
Haha it was a numb all the pictures I took of the view were either to low quality or too foggy to see
I love Wales.
I don’t live far from it being on the Shropshire border, it’s a beautiful place.
Though I agree with you those are deffo mountains rather than hills!
